Course Goals
 The MIG course focuses on human sciences in order to improve urban life by removing the existing forms of life in the context of repetitive actions in a specific place. The MIG course is a design workshop where participants share their own exploration and mapping potentials to explore the dynamics of the city to open up new horizons for conceptual approaches. The MIG workshop is an opportunity for participants to write a project for a funding application where they discover and map existing potentials of the city, describe a problem, create an innovative solution using communication technologies and social media, and implement it.

Teaching Methods and Techniques -The semester starts with seminars and theoretical discussions on spatial reading and mapping. A specific place is spatially read and existing networks of relationships are discovered. The information of the time is developed in the form of a visual presentation as a language to be shared by the student. The invited speakers give information about project writing techniques. Interdisciplinary journals support student projects in terms of ideas and production techniques.
  The course is built on workshop studies. Istanbul and Turkey trips can be arranged inside or outside. Evaluation is done through workshops and final presentation. Individual and team work will be experienced.
